EXTRA LARGE OBJECT
Keshet Cave
The Keshet cave is one of the very special places
in Israel, it’s known for it’s view and abilty to
glide with snepling ropes.
In this project I created an instelation on nature
to get a diffrenet and uniqe expirence in space
and nature. The shape is a result of my thinking
about the antgonist of nature and about the
fact that a perfect strate line does not exists in
nature and make the combination of them.
The object creates a feelling of walking in free
sapce and uniqe views of the cave in front of it
in the back ups and down and gives you the feel
of large space and connection of the two worlds
combined.
The extra large object is planned that you can
experience it in two ways - one as a visitor
that comes for a short term and the second
as a traveler that comes to stay the night.
The platform gives the visitors the south side
view to the vally and the up stairs platforms. For
the travler the north “back” side of it is less suny
and the lower part hides behind a rock, which
make it a good place to cook or sleep.
Both areas contain restrooms while the travler’s
restrooms are less aproachable to maintain
some privacy for long stay travlers. There’s also
a “hole” in the structure so gliders can still glide
and maintain the atmosphere of uniqe travling
and character of the place (see the x on plans).
